black & white chicken chili (slow cooker)

i'm starting to realize that i have a bit of a type when it comes to recipes: crockpot, chicken, and usually a soup/stew of some kind.

but i'm okay with that.
because this is good.

and honestly, it's hard to come up with other types of recipes that dont include lots of tomatoes and/or a ton of dairy. so, life goes on (in the form of lots of chicken and soup).

slow cooker black & white chicken chili
serves 6

five chicken breasts (I used frozen but thawed mine a little since it was a bit crunched on time)
4 cups chicken broth + 2 cups water
1 can great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
15 ounces salsa verde, plus more for serving
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
salt to taste

sour cream
shredded sharp white cheddar
diced avocados
tortilla chips

combine first 8 ingredients in slow cooker and cook on medium for 5 hours.

garnish with sour cream, cheese, and avocados and serve.

hurray for easy!
you're welcome.
happy fall.
