settling in.

what a glorious feeling it is to be home--to have our baby boy with us, back in our cozy little house, and no nurses coming in to bother nick as soon as he drifts off to sleep. and, thankfully, he's getting some of that long-overdue sleep.

it's a strange feeling coming back to reality after a three-week absence. when we went to the hospital, it was in the 80s and green. now, it's in the 60s and the leaves are bursting with fall color. i think it's going to take a bit of time to get back into the swing of things while missing a month of our lives, never mind trying to get a handle on the holidays that are fast approaching.

but none of that matters. i think i can speak for both of us when i say that if that's the extent of our adjustment back into life (besides the obvious, of course), then we're doing just fine for now.

  1. Congrats on being home. Our thoughts and prayers are constantly with you!

hey, friend! thanks for your comment--so glad you're here!
