scenes from the week: maryland.

before we set off for home, we stopped in maryland for a day to spend time with my grandparents. being sick & exhausted, it was pretty perfect to get to just rest & fellowship with them.

nick went for a run & took these. i think they're perfect.

the scenery helped, too.

someone napped on the way. finally.

playing in the creek. because that's what boys do.

and then this happened.

oh man, this face. this is not boredom. this is pure concentration. i don't think i've seen him this intense ever. i think it was pretty much a highlight of his life up to this point.
