snow days (& days).

we usually get one good decent snow down here a year. being from the north, they are some of my favorite days--especially considering everything shuts down thanks to our pal, ice.

the past few weeks have given us TWO good snows, and we have been enjoying them, for sure.

in summary, favorite snow pastimes include:
c: throwing snowballs.
n: eating snow.

we don't get many real snows down here in the south. but when we do, we get to fully enjoy them while most of the state shuts down and stays put. people may make fun of us for it, but i think it's pretty wonderful. and last week we got a few inches and a few days of them.

a certain little boy was beside himself to go outside and play. and a certain little girl didn't take her eyes off of her two favorite guys while they enjoyed the fresh, cold white.

also, i'm secretly hoping for a few more snow days before spring is here to stay.

"snow" day.

i love the south. and days like today are just one more reason why.

they're calling for a wintry mix that will lead to not much more than chilly air and icy roads. and so, half the state is shutting down early (nick is on his way home from work right now--hurray!).

it started sleeting and snowing earlier, and coen decided to go out to investigate. after all, this is the south, and the poor thing hasn't ever seen much of the stuff.

i promise it was snowing quite a bit.

really, i promise.

he was pretty excited.

and pretty cold.
